Established in 2015, Best Early Learning Centre is a Long Daycare Service in the heart of Seven Hills in Sydney's West.
Built on the grounds of the Fairholme Homestead which was established in the late 1800s by the late George Best. Initially part of a much larger citrus orchard, our purpose built centre covers nearly 2200m2. Heritage and modern architecture meet to provide wide open spaces and ample play area inside and out for our children.
Providing quality education and care for children from ages 0 - 5 years, our centre has received an exceeding rating from ACECQA and we are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all children. Our qualified staff allow children to explore and learn while providing a stimulating and safe learning environment.
Ample onsite parking and within walking distance to Seven Hills station, just minutes to Blacktown and the M4, our centre is conveniently located to suit the needs of busy families.
Best Early Learning Centre's philosophy is a mission statement which outlines our beliefs and reasons behind out practices. Staff and children have influenced our philosophy along with families.
In relation to children
We believe that children are our future and that each and every child has the potential to bring something special to the world. At Best Early Learning Centre we aim to assist children in discovering who they are to express their own opinions and nurture their own ideas (becoming).
We have a vision of the world where people learn to respect, accept and embrace each other. We aim to provide a welcoming and safe environment for children regardless of their cultural or socio-economic background, gender and support the inclusion of children with additional needs (belonging).
At Best Early Learning Centre we encourage play-based learning, where children are free to explore and learn independently. Our programs are based on the emergent curriculum using current theories and research. The children's interests lead the program concept which incorporates the NSW Curriculum Framework and the Early Years Learning Program.
We also provide a "Transition to School Program" which is derived from the transition to school document "Continuity of Learning". We aim to assist children in developing new relationships and shaping children's identities to assist children to face new challenges in the world (Being).
In relation to parents
At Best Early Learning Centre we encourage parents to be a part of the centre in a two-way partnership, sharing power and empowering parents. We encourage shared decision making about their child's experience. Parents are welcomed and are encouraged to be involved at the centre in whatever way they feel comfortable. (Belonging)
We recognize that a child is the most important thing in any parents’ lives. We respect individual parenting skills, cultures and beliefs. We value the information provided to us from parents in regards to their children to help them feel confident and secure that their child is in a caring and nurturing environment.
In relation to educators
At Best Early Learning Centre our educators come from all different backgrounds and cultures. We respect all individual needs and skills and work together to provide the best quality care for children. We provide opportunities for educators to develop skills and knowledge by attending professional development workshops and training.
We work as a team by supporting each other in daily tasks to help build the atmosphere we believe children flourish in. We use open communication, respecting different points of view and constructive problem solving to better our practices.
We work in partnerships with many registered training organizations to foster new educators in becoming quality early childhood educators.
